I know you all have seen my earlier post about going to less boards in the bed of my 55'. I had a little time, some might say to much time, today and I came up with this. My bed measures 47' from bed flange to flange. It measures 49" from bed side to bed side. Im taking my 55' and going to send two guys in the morning that cut lumber for various uses. Can you all look this over and give me feedback if this will work from a measurement standpoint?
Could do like Ford did to the 83 - 86 flare side and use plywood it only took 2 sheets
2 of the metal strips were used on the 2 seams and the others were laid on top of the wood.
The strips are different between boards and plywood floors.
