I inherited this 1970 F100, factory black, parchment interior, short bed, ranger xlt with a factory 390 manual trans, now automatic. I did some research an had a Marti report done. The truck is 1 of 113 with the color and trim package and 1 of 1168 with the engine trans combo. The truck is extremely straight with no rust, original paint with the exception of the hood and tailgate, great patina. It’s been parked since 1981 and I recently got it running but it’s not roadworthy at this point.
I’m more of a gm guy and not sure I will keep it. Can anyone help with value if I do sell it? Not sure if the rarity adds value or not. I’ve attached a few pics.
Thanks everyone for your input!

Hard to say without seeing more pics. Is the paint original? For reference I recently bought a completely original, straight and rust free 67 Ranger SWB for $19k
i don’t think the “rarity” adds any value personally. The fact that it’s a short bed in a good color combo is definitely a plus. If it’s original paint and truly rust free that’s also a huge plus.

I'm assuming with the fact that you "inherited it" you have very little $$$ into it so far... Correct? If so I would invest a few thousand into fixing what needs fixing and getting it road worthy again. Then list it on "Bring a Trailer" auction. This generation of Fords have really taking off on there and with it being a short bed it should do well and even better if you have it sorted out and road worthy. It's very possible if you listed it on there "as is" it could bring 10 to 12K or even more.
But be warned if you put in all the work you just might fall in love with it as these trucks are great fun to drive and get a ton of attention (Also dare to do something different then another Chevy C-10'... sorry just poking the bear )
If you haven't been on the site go check it out and look back through past auctions and you'll see what I'm talking about. Obviously it's an auction so anything could happen (good or bad).
