I'm about a week out from pulling the trigger on some stage 1.5 tow injectors for my 97 7.3 and I've spoken to both Chris at full force diesel and Gary with black cloud diesel performance, and I'm trying to decide which company to go with. FFD has lots of customers out there with good things to say. Gary with BCDP sounded very knowledgeable and was very easy to answer all my questions. I'm wondering if anyone out there has experience dealing with black cloud. They seem like a small business and I'd love to give them my support. I would feel better about it if someone could chime in about their experience. Thank you
Jim helped me out nearly 10 years ago, and last month was able to dig up my invoice and send it to me from back then within an hour or so of opening up for the day.
when I get my next set of injectors, it’ll be from him.
I do appreciate y'alls input. my only qualm with going with Jim is he does not have a core charge which means I would have to remove my injectors send em and wait for him to rebuild them and I just don't know if I can really have my truck down for that long. I will be giving him a call today tho to see what he says

oh snap. I must have somehow missed that when I was scouring his website! thank you!
no problem, here to help!
Have you done all the supporting mods to support larger injectors?
im running a set of stage 1 160cc with intercooler, terminator, riffraff wheel in turbo, efuel.
it does pretty good towing, but with the 5th wheel on I still run into egt issues pulling long grades… looking to move to a KC stage 1 in the next year.

truck came with afe intake when I bought her 3 years ago. exhaust is modified as well. I have a gague cluster one of which monitors my egts. with the upgraded injectors I will most definitely be upgrading my turbo. i was looking into the kc stage 2 and i am considering a new hpop, specifically the adrenaline hpop, but I've had a few people tell me not to mess with that unless it's on its way out or bad all together

I ran my stock HPOP until it started to get weak under load, then went with terminator. If you have a CTS monitor what you’ll want to watch for is IPR duty cycle to climb sky high and the ICP dropping off….
turbo wise, because I’m towing I intend to stay with the 160 injectors, may have Jim put 30% nozzels on…. Talking with KC turbo for towing w/ 160s they recommended sticking with the stage 1 to keep egts down.

okay good to know. I spoke with Chris at FFD and he was saying something about a stage 2 but hadnt gotten around to calling kc yet so thats a good idea. she's a p/t heavy hauler but carries a f/t weld rig so she is always carrying a LOT of weight. I appreciate all your input
I agree stage 1's will be best for towing to help keep the heat down. I have a customer with stage 1's, banks 1.0 exhaust housing, and SD intercooler that tows heavy and his EGT's are great plus he made 385 RWHP with that combination.

Many of us have gone to 205/30s as opposed to the 160/30s. I did as apparently at full fuel the 205/30 make better mid range grunt and I swear the 30% nozzle is not enough to empty the 160s.

Probably forgetting.
I'm going to go with 1.5s anyway I was really just looking to see if anyone had any experience with the company black cloud diesel performance
