Covered Wagon Trailer
Covered Wagon Trailer
Anybody ever hear of Covered Wagon Trailers? I'm looking at a 8.5x28 car hauler. It's looks nice but since I've never heard of them I'm wondering if they are any good.
Thanks, I put a deposit on one & am going down to check it out next week. I found a couple YouTube videos that were mostly positive. I also found some very negative comments, on a few posts, on random forums. Most of those comments, were fake, since things they complained about don't exist in the build of these trailers. On another forum I asked the person if he could send me pictures of his trailer & his issues, now he's now gone dark. I'm looking at a 28' with a blackout package that has 14K Lippert Spread Axle Configuration.

I had a 38’ enclosed gooseneck with triple torsion axles that the frame was one piece 3/16 X 8 and had no trouble with that.
Good luck.
I've seen a few around my area on the highway. Nothing has ever looked out of sorts on them. I only remember them because of the interesting name. I hadn't looked any further into them than that.
One guideline that I have with trailer manufacturers is: Do they have their own domain name on the Internet therefore their own domain name for email etc.? If so, they're probably a little bit serious and professional. If not, it's more of a crap shoot.
ibuildthebesttrailers@gmail.com can easily disappear, while sales@ibuildthebesttrailers.com has put some more effort in, like Covered Wagon appears to have done.

I ended up getting it. The frame was one long piece & painted with with paint that is supposed to resist chipping and rust. The tongue was powder-coated as well as the coupler. All the plywood is treated to repel water & resist rot. The roof is 1 piece aluminum. The split axel tows nice. There were a lot of strong cross winds on the way home & the trailer tracked nice behind the truck. Looking forward to hauling the car & golf cart down to Florida in this thing. Thanks for the tips on what to look for,
