Powertrain Prducts
Hello, Picking up a 2002 F150 supercrew (seized engine) today. I comes with another 5.4 that I am told is rebuildable. Looking at possibly a reman engine for expediency. Have to get everything home first but looking for options. Anyone purchased an engine from any reman places? Powertrain Products looked pretty good, but so did Jeggs ETK (bit more costly) remans.

The spare has been disassembled and pistons disposed off. Have not seen the block but crank was in front of drivers seat. Didn't see any scoring on journals. Have to get some measurements. No info on local shops, kind of in the sticks, but probably in Reno.

I would go the reman route
Especially if you are in the sticks and Reno is some distance away
Getting it overhauled is liable to cost more than a reman engine with a 3 / 36 warranty on it
