Advance Trac

I had this message pop up on my center screen today saying... "Service Advance Trac soon". What does it mean and what is the service?

Check the connector Near the spare tire and throw some dielectric grease in there. Could also be a wheel speed sensor. Both are known to throw that message.

It went away after a restart of the engine. rear electrical connector was cleaned and dielectric was added two years ago, but I'll recheck it.

When you guys say "check the rear electrical connector" which one are you talking about? I crawled under mine last night and immediately saw at least four different wire harness connections on either side of the spare tire. There's more wiring back there than a city Christmas display.

Since you're already down there, if it were me I'd just blow them all out and use dielectric grease on all of them (like Ripley from Aliens says, "It's the only way to be sure")...

Mine was a wheel speed sensor, but it also set off the downhill assist, adaptive cruise and lane keeping alert at the same time.

Mine was a wheel speed sensor also, front passenger side. It set off all of these alerts mentioned in the thread plus ABS and anything related to the sensors for parking, cross traffic, emergency braking, etc. All of it went away once the wheel speed sensor was replaced
