I am trying to run Google Maps and Android Auto with screen maximized but the map comes up in the truck screen using about one third of the screen space. Is it possible to toggle between a full size Google Map and the Ford climate/radio features which occupy two thirds of the screen?
It happens on both of my vehicles; 2020 F150 Platinum and 2023 Explorer platinum.
Phone is a SAMSUNG S21 FE, both trucks running SYNC3.
Has anyone been able to use 100% of the screen size for the Google map while driving?
On Apple Car Play screen in the top left-hand corner there is a little icon with two arrows on a 45 making a little box. Push it to toggle from Full to shared screen.
It was not label to do anything so if you didn't push it you wouldn't know.
Anything like that on Android Auto?

yes!
Just look on the bottom where you see Android Auto and click the 4 Arrows....
From there, if you have Spotify or another App open, just click on Google Maps on the left (or right if yours is reversed) and it will maximize Maps only. The next two photos shows my Spotify and Maps open followed by just Google Maps. Hope that helps.
