Hello Folks.
Here is my simple rig.
2023 6.8L XL 2 wheel drive. It has 4.30s in its big butt.
14000# GVWR-4550# front-9900# rear. That yellow sticker says 6880#.
The truck is a hoss. I have been told it is one of the last gasser DWR Fords built.
If I can help with info that would be cool.
Can I ask is there a database that tells how many Ford models per MY were made? I would be interested in knowing how many 2023 6.8L DWR 4X2 XLs were made.

So you they no longer make gasser duallys? Bummer.
Oddly, 2024 build site still allows 6.8 gas on the F350 DRW XL, and 7.3 for XLT but then you have to go 4x4 in both cases, 2wd is only available in XL and if you choose it, it forces you to go to the 6.7 PSD, so OP's 2WD gas DRW truck is not possible to build on Ford's site anymore.

Ok, so it's still available in 4x4. Also I've noticed in the past that build and price site is prone at times to incorrect selections and info.

What's funny is on Ford's own payload chart the 6.8 2wd DRW is listed as with a whopping payload rating of 8000 lbs, but it could be just a copy and paste from 2023 chart since "F-350 7.3L DRW4x2/4x4" is listed too but it is no longer possible to build a 7.3 DRW 4x2 since only XLT and up get 7.3 and XLTs and up are 4x4 only.
It is possible Ford quietly removed the 4x2 DRW gas option or it could be a build website issue, after all on their front page overview it still lists the 8000lb figure.

For grins I did a check and at this time Ford let me price out a XL 2wd 6.8L DWR in a single cab.
On my 2wd 6.7 dually it does just fine off road in like a muddy field (even with street tires) and is way easier to park and get in and out of compared to a bigger 4x4. They handle better too.
They must have loosen up the nanny on this particular combo because my 2wd gas srw trucks would get stuck in wet grass the traction control would just shut it down at 5-10mph wheel speeds, even with advance track off. Even with duratracs on it.
How are the newer gas ones with this? It was overwhelmingly intrusive on my previous 2wd gas. To the point where it would force you to get stuck.

That is awesome. I much prefer the "simple rigs" like yours.
I didn't know you could get the 6.8 in the DRW. In the past, upgrading from F250 or F350 SRW to DRW changed the base motor to the larger of the gas options (460 or 6.8 V10).

I probably am a bad resource for that kind of info, this will be a road truck.
