2003 navigator surging/bucking

2003 navigator surging/bucking
Hello new to the forum, hoping I can find some answers. I have a 2003 Navigator, and it seems to surge/buck/vibrate, when there is a load put on the engine while going down the highway, or when the rpm's go high when the transmission downshifts(above 2000 rpm). It gets noticably worse when the weather gets cold(like it is starting to do here in canada 
What should I be looking for? or where to stssrt? thanks. Engine is a 5.4

Well. I would get 8 fresh plugs. 8 fresh coil. Whatever intake manifold gaskets you need. Do the tune up fully. And I reckon it fixes the issue. It's a pain but not crazy hard. Sounds like she is asking for them parts.

Yeah bucking and kicking and acting weird. You back off. It's normal again. Pretty standard symptom of a failing set of coils and plugs. So you have to eliminate your maintenance and see if the complaint goes away. Which it does most of the time. Did it give an engine light?
