Smile Proper RPM

Is the proper RPM while in drive at a stop 650? and while is park 650-700?
I Have 2003 F150 5.4l XTR.

That's pretty similar to what I get with my 4.6L... shrug.

Yes, it idles about the same rpm in or out of gear. About 650 is correct.

My 5.4 is about 600 also.

Maybe I should knock on wood before I say stuff like this... Now my idle is fluctuating between 4-500rpm... it stalled once, but I think that might've been because I just replaced the fuel filter and it was breaking it in, shrug.

Yeah. Fuel filters are supposed to be replaced every 15k... Mine went 108k, and when i took it out and dumped the gas in it into a bottle to be disposed of, the gas came out black and dirty. Yeah. Fun stuff. And I took a chunk outta my finger when I took the inlet line off... yeah... blood + gas don't mix. .
