Universal windshield rubber ???
Howdy
I'm researching to see if it's possible to do away with the windshield trim pieces and in it's place use a modern looking rubber around the glass.. I can't seem to find black window trim for my 93 lightning . And painted trim doesnt seem to last long. Has anyone replaced their trim with rubber molding?

The black trim isn't so easy to find. Was used on Lightning, Nite, and Bronco Sport not sure what other trim levels.
Have not seen anything available aftermarket to convert to a modern rubber piece, which I wouldn't even do anyway, since it would look janky. I don't think it would look good even if it was actually made for the truck. I've seen similar for classic cars and it looks cheap and cheesy.
I'd rather have regular bright trim even though it doesn't look right. Maybe having that powder coated black would be the easiest way to go.
You might try asking around on NLOC or a Gen 1 Facebook group.
