Need help with this Mac tool box....

Not exactly about diesel engines but I do love my 6.7 Super Duty.
I've had this Mac Macsimizer, MB 1300-BK toolbox for a long time. It wasn't used much when I first got it then I had to put it in storage for 10 years or more. Finally put it in my new shop and most of the drawers won't stay shut. I've searched all over and have not been able to any usable information about it. From what I understand Mac does not have parts for it but they do have new drawer slides they would be kind enough to sell for around $30 apiece. I really don't want to shell out $500 or more for new slides when all that's wrong is the detents. I see some sites that say they sell them, but I can't figure out which ones to buy. Sadly, I don't even know what they look like. I'm just wondering if anyone here has run into this problem and what you did about it. I guess I could just jack up the front of the box a little, but I would rather opt for a more permanete fix if possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are they soft-close drawers?

I don't think so, I guess that by 'soft close' you mean they will pull shut on their own once they get almost closed. My new Husky tool box I just bought for my machine tools is like that. These drawers here have a drag on them when you pull them out for about the first 6" or so. Then they free up a little once they get to the second rail. There is still a slight drag on that rail you can feel for the rest of the way out. Normally you could push the drawer in all the way and it wouldn't bounce back or open on their own.

Guy at work welded some drilled out tabs on top and the bottom
He inserts a rod through the tabs that prevent them from openeing.

I found replacement white plastic rubber type drawer bumper stops for these Mac and Husky boxes made in the 1980’s early 1990’s on Etsy. Those boxes were made in Canada by a company now out of business. The guy on Etsy 3d prints them. If I can find the link I’ll post it.

Ideaxtruder is the seller on Etsy.
