Many thanks guys, I am in the process of rebuilding a 351 from a 250 that was speed density. The 150 I have was a 302 with Mass air. I am going to use the 302 harness and control system on the 351. I will just leave the knock sensor disconnected.
If I was in your shoes, I would look into using the knock sensor. At least look into the fact it is a benefit or not. You will need to figure out the tuning for the control module if you are going to up the size of the engine.
I sure like that about don't trust me whatsoever, 1Butcher
I should add that disclaimer to all of mine
Ford made so many different models for low altitude and such markets that it is hard to say absolutely what they made specifically this or that market
TX for instance
Most cars had a MAF by 92-94 and the trucks just a little later IIRR
There is a 7/16” 13 threaded hole on the right rear of the block, the knock sensor is 1/2” 13. I can make an adapter on my lathe or drill and tap the rear corner of the intake manifold over the rear water passage of the head.
So far my biggest problem is locating a “Y” pipe for the 351. Every number I have found so far is not available. The JY did not have the pipe from the doner truck. If any one close to me has a “Y” pipe let me know.
