Round bedside tie downs

Does anyone know the origin of this type of bedside tie downs? Curious if this type was a factory option. They are on a 78' 140" wheelbaser.

Oh man, so they are just el cheapo aftermarkets. Oh well, they do have a nice look to them. Like bedside jewelry, yeah, that's what i'll keep telling myself! Thanks for the info guys.
