2023 F250 Lariat SC HO diesel problems!!
I ordered my truck in January 2023 & it arrived July of 2023 with a sticker just shy of $90k. Soon after all these problems started & no one has the answers to fix it. I need the number to Ford Customer Service to file a complaint.
1. Rubber trim keeps popping out between the right headlight & bumper.
2. Steering wheel is offset by 10 degrees & it's makes it pull which cause the lane keeping system work over time.
3. Random audible alerts but nothing shows up on either screen
4. While trailering the system randomly does not recognize my stored trailer.
5. Randomly alerts me my left turn/brake lights are out but they are good & have been completely checked.
6. Cannot program a second trailer
7. While on the phone via Bluetooth a buzzing sounds randomly starts each time the caller speak & then it goes silent & i cannot hear them. Have to hang up & call back or restart the truck to correct it.
8. Going through DEF like crazy. I've used 2.5 TANKS & I got less than 5k on the truck.
9. Brake assist brakes prematurely & tries to put u through the windshield.
10. Awesome power most of the time but randomly gets sluggish & feels weak during the same drive & same fuel.
11. Dashboard rattles & squeaks at times right in front of the steering wheel.
12. On Board Scales are NOT in the programing even though i ordered it. Has the taillights for it.
13. Ford profile says this truck can bumper pull 22k but on gooseneck 16k. Something isn't right. Truck was built & upgraded when ordered to max tow.
14. Hub caps keep popping off.
15. Seat belt warning won't clear off screen at times. Can't get to anything while it's stuck there.
16. 30 minute idle time will NOT stay off regardless of how many times I turn it off.
17. During trailer navigation if you turn on a road that the system did not send you on the Nav will lock the screen & will not recalculate the route. You MUST pull over & restart the truck!! Try that pulling a 24 ft equipment trailer with 15k behind you. Not fun!!
18. At every single start up the wipers come on & swipe once. Rain or shine!!
19. Randomly does not put the programed seat or steering wheel in the save positions. It will get halfway there & stop. I have to then press the program button to get it to finish.
20. Main large screen randomly does NOT come on at all during start up or it freezes while loading. Must restart truck one or more times to get it to work.
21.app constantly says the truck is in a sleep mode & cant start or it failed to start. However when I walk outside the truck is running.
22. Lots of times the truck does not recognize I've walked up with the key fob so the touch feature doesn't work.
23. Alarm goes off at times alerting me my trailer was unhook but it has not.
Some might think I'm being petty over this but I work hard for my money everyday & i need my truck to work correctly. If I paid for it I should have it. I did NOT pay for problems. My dealer has been great to me but they too are stumped over all these issues. Ford, this is a Quality Control problem at the engineering side NOT the plant or the dealer side. I could not wait to trade my 2021 f250 in to get the exact truck I ordered only to find out Ford deleted my lay flat seats & a few other items I ordered. Oh & ALL my paid for items like fender well liners have not came in. It's been 4 months!! If Ford doesn't handle this in a timely fashion I'll take my company's business to GMC. Clock is running Ford.

File a Lemon Law complaint and have Ford buy it back from you.

me personally would just deal with this issues, but everyone is different, so for you get rid of it! I can say atleast your brake assist works, mine on bith trucks never works, occasionally every 3 month I might get it beeping saying Collison ahead but that's about it.
A quick search of the forum for some of these would have pointed out that some of these are common issues with various fixes, or no fix yet. That said if your dealer can't figure some of these out then you need a new dealer since you're under warranty.
What your truck is rated to pull is based mostly off of payload capacity, my FIL has the max tow package on his but his payload is still only about 3k, which limits his pin weight on any gooseneck/fifth wheel to (with them and the dogs, basically everything else goes in the trailer) around 2300 lbs, which, based on the 20% rule, is an 11k gross fifth wheel. With a gooseneck you can adjust the weight and put more on the trailer, keeping some weight off the pin, but they're still recommending you stay under 16k gross for trailer weight. Bumper pulls you can usually adjust even more, which is where the higher weight comes in.
On board scales are likely there, but you'll need to figure out where they are in the dash screen - you may have to deselect some screens to add the scales screen. It's an issue many people are discovering - the screen is only capable of a certain number of features at a time.
The 'trailer disconnected' warning is an issue many are having, apparently the new receptical is looser on '23s than previous model years, likely due to a supplier change or a mold change. It can be overcome in various ways, there's an entire thread on here about it.
Many of the rest of your issues are warranty claims and should be addressed through Ford. If the current dealer can't figure them out, they have to give you Ford Customer Service's number on request, and a different dealer will likely be needed.
FWIW, I have had many trucks and NONE of them stored a trailer in the dash settings well, regardless of who made the truck.

I would start with a new set of batteries in the truck and remotes.
It is complaining of sleep mode and not seeing the key both lead me to think low voltage issues.
Trucks do not like that and that may fix multiple problems.

I’m on SD number 7 in 8 years, my 2023 lariat has pretty much the same issues 14/23 if I count right, it’s pretty disappointing after several perfect 17+ trucks. This is the new norm I’m afraid these 2023 trucks are built so cheaply just grin and bear it. Blue bloods will jump on you but your concerns are legit.
