Shift **** replacement
Hi Id like to change the stock 4x4 Shifter handle to an AfterMarket one.. how do i remove the stock Shifter Handle
note: not the gearshift handle... the 4x4 gearshift handle

Welcome to FTE 96 Splash. Haynes manual says:
"Remove the plastic insert from the shift ball. Warm the shift ball with a heat gun or portable hair dryer to 140 to 180*F and knock the ball off the lever with a piece of wood and a hammer. Be careful not to damage the finish of the shift lever."
