Barring any leaks, the first thing you should you should check is the coolant level. Many people never check that these days. If you find it low, wait until the engine is cooled down, then add coolanat up to the FULL COLD line. After several years, coolant could be lost due to something as simple as the cap loosing it's ability to hold pressure. Start with the small things first.
