"Miss" on initial start up
100K miles and set up for a couple of years.
Majority of under hood wiring replaced due to mice/rodent damage.
Fuel tank dropped to check for trash and to do pickup mod. No trash noted but approximately 1 to 2 cups of "chicken fat" on the tank walls. Cleaned out.
New sensors replaced due to damage/age.
Suspect glow plugs need replacement and possibly glow plug relay.
On initial start-up, engine run rough until temp reaches 100-125 degrees, The engine will the smooth out and run like a clock. Sometimes on start it will smoke, other times not.
After start up, no smoke is noted, other than a slight dark haze while under a load or hard acceleration. Starts and runs well all day. Let sit overnight, does the same thing.
I'm thinking, due to the past of the truck, that I have bad seals on the injector o rings and several weak glow plugs.
Does my diagnosis sound correct?
All suggestions are greatly appreciated. .
