Just started getting an error today for a trailer brake system fault even when I’m not towing anything I’m getting it.
it’s stating trailer brake system fault see manual.
i was towing an air compressor around earlier which does use a 4 flat, but haven’t gotten that message before unless there’s a bad wire on the trailer.
interested to see if others in the super duty line have seen this yet.
hopefully just some moisture in there and some CRC cleaner will do the trick.
I had a ton of water in my 7 pin, just from washing the truck the night before. I globbed dielectric inside until it was squeezing out, upon re-assembly.
I'm still getting a trailer disconnected error (here and there) and don't think it is bad wiring or water at this point. Even though Ford allows you to
pick E/H trailer brakes in the setup, it seems some hydraulic actuators are still not happy with factory setups.
