1982 f150 302 2wd. I just got my truck running for the first time. I removed the smog pump and hoses. I want to know where the vacum hoses are supposed to be without the smog pump. I have them hooked up but I am not sure if they are right. thank you
I have the distributor hose hooked to the front of the carb. The brakes seem tight. I will look at them next. I drove it around my property a few times. It needed 3 qts of transmission fluid. It has been sitting 20 years.
You only need a few vacuum lines hooked up.
Power brake booster to manifold vacuum - base of carb?
Manifold vacuum to the tree on the fire wall upper right side. This is for HVAC to work the controls
Ported vacuum on carb to dist. for vacuum advance.
Manifold vacuum to the air filter assy.

I have all the wheels and brakes off. I am ordering some parts, master cylinder, calipers, pads, hoses, rear wheel cylinders and spring kits. All rotors and brake drums are good.
Good to hear. That leads a couple of us to recommend the Motive Power Bleeder. With the plate for early model MC. Karl, has a sticky up top about brakes.
I buy a couple qt's of DOT3 from the discount stores. I find the local junkyard will take the old brake fluid, fora few dollars. Mine takes used motor oil for free
