(UPDATE)
10-11,Put the new Jeep-Amc 3 nipple bypass fuel filter on tonight. 3rd fitting goes back to filler neck behind seat. Let run 15 minutes, shut off,let heat soak, started back up over and over ❗ With it running I could shine a flashlight down in the tank and see the excess fuel and vapor coming back in to the gas tank.
LOL I was posting when you posted this.
On the Jeep / AMC 3 nipple filter you have to be careful. The 3rd nipple should be at the top.
If at the bottom it could pass to much fuel back to the tank and little to the carb.
Also some AMC cars used a restrictor like a vary small jet, in the return line to slow the flow of fuel back to the tank.
So keep that in mind if you find the carb is running out of gas.
Do that voltage drop test I linked above, when trying to start and it is slow to crank.
Know heat makes the resistance go up in bad battery cable(s) it will show up where the trouble is.

Yes I put the nipple at the top, It is a wix filter and I was thinking it had restrictor built into it from what I've seen on YouTube.. I haven't had a chance to voltage check the starter. I've been working a lot this week.
Thanks for the number I would give it a try if there was an easy way to run the return back to the tanks as I have 2 and would need to make sure the return goes to the right tank.
