2017 F250. IDK what it is called but there is are 2 insulation pads behind the cab on the exterior. The left seems to be fine. The right seems to be rattling when I am over 40 mph. Questions:
1. What exactly is this pad for?
2. Can it be removed totally?
3. Can it be glued down without covering a vent or hurting something?
Reason I ask is that I have seen it on other trucks and it looks like it is not covering a vent. I need to know because there is a cap on the bed so it isn't the easiest to get to. TIA
It did. Now to find some kid with smaller hands to either get to it and glue it back without taking the box off. Thanks. If anyone has an idea that doesn't involve removing the cap and the bed, it would be better.
I wonder if the edges should be sealed, like with sound insulating panels on the inside. When I put sound insulation panels on my side-by-side, I taped every edge.

Obviously not that well sealed. It's going to be a tricky thing to do with the bed on and a cap on the bed.
