Hoping to pick it up next Monday, it's about 500 miles from here so I will have time to check out the head-turning power driving back
That's gotta be awesome... but what's not awesome is you can't drive around strapped like we are here... (concealed carry), unfortunately... but's that a whole different conversation.

You have a lot of Democratically minded folk there (of the logic that if you ban or outlaw something, it will just go away, like narcotics for example)... I do know that migrants have caused a lot of issues in the bigger cities... But sounds like you are in the country away from big cities. Stay safe over there bud... And enjoy that Ford of yours...
Well, picked it up on Monday so last 400 mile trip in the 6.0, followed by 250 miles in the new truck back to my son’s house for the night. Driving through Dortmund in the rush hour, dark, and rain wasn’t the easiest thing I’ve done but I got there ok. The truck is so quiet compared to the 6.0, but isn’t any quicker, maybe because I had tunes in the PCM and FICM which really made a difference, plus this one has big tires.
The truck has aftermarket projector lights - they’re bright! I thought they were adjusted too high because of the reflection from the rain on the road. Got a garage in the village a daughter lives in to take a look, and all ok.
Got a WIF warning so drained it - no water, light still on - and reading through this forum saw it could be the connector, makes sense as it came on when the rain started, and that was indeed the case. Cost a few grey hairs as it doesn’t reset straight away and I was wondering what else it could be. This morning I smell fuel and see dripping from the water drain so tighten it up further. I’m always wary about over tightening plastic screws.
Carried on back to France last night, again through the rain, and got back late evening. I’d called the wife well beforehand to open a bottle of ripasso so we had a small celebration. Wife is impressed!
Congrats on the new F350!! Ought to handle good on some of the narrow winding roads. I'm in SE Louisiana in Cajun Country where some of the folks still speak French!! Many folks including on my Dads side came from France and my Mom's side from France and Norhtern Italy around Genoa and Cuneo. Take care and keep us updated on the F350.
Thanks! Whereabouts in France did your family come from? I’m learning French but it’s difficult, I’m not sure I didn’t find German easier. Our local farmer plays with words and it just goes over my head, and then he laughs again when he sees I didn’t get it.
