Popping noise while accelerating 4r100
After driving around some more, the problem seems to have resolved itself

I just finished putting the engine back into my truck, it's an '03 7.3, and I now notice an odd popping/vibration coming from the tranny/TQ. The noise occurs when accelerating from a complete stop, especially when on an incline or during a turn, and almost only in gear 1, pretty much as soon as it shifts to gear 2 the problem resolves. It sounds and feels almost exactly like a tire rubbing the leaf spring in the middle of the floor.
The dipstick showed tranny fluid was low (checked fluid on level ground after warming tranny and shifting through all gears) I ended up putting in 4 quarts of Motorcraft Mercon V. I had just upgraded to the 6.0 cooler, which I assume is the reason I needed this much. This took the popping nearly completely away, but on a good incline while accelerating from a stop, I can still feel it popping slightly.
The tranny fluid is a perfect color, and I know the flexplate is good because I just had it off with the engine. If anybody has an idea, or has had this problem before, I would welcome any suggestions.
Thank you.
