A/C compressor
Hello everyone,
My 2007 truck crapped out the AC compressor last week. I was wondering if any one has any thoughts on what compressor to use.
A friend of mine runs a shop and will be doing the work, and says that he has had nothing but troubles with both the Napa and O'reilly compressors.
I dont know who makes the Napa compressor, but the O'reilly compressor is a Murry brand.
The ford dealer tells me that they can't get a new one, as they are permanently discontinued.
So I am at a loss as to what to use. The truck is pretty low mileage with only 75,000 miles, so I would like to do it right and be done with it.
Any help would be appreciated.. Thank you in advance.

Don’t always trust dealers, half of them can’t find parts even when you give them the part number.
Not sure what engine you have but rockauto has in stock right now:
Motorcraft YCC501 for the 5.4L
Motorcraft YCC492 for the 6.0L
Motorcraft YCC501 for the 6.8L
