I typically use fluid film or woolwax. Lately mostly woolwax. Great product and it comes in black.
I have the wool wax undercoating, is that the same product? I’ll upload a picture of what I got. I’m wondering cuz the wool wax doesn’t really seem to dry fully. From what I’ve seen those who coated the outer parts of the body seemed dry to the touch
He's talking like rocker guard paints. 3M, SEM, Duplicolor in that order all make good chip guard paints that can be painted over or left black. I've done Chassis Saver since I have it laying around before with good success. Like any paint, its all in the prep, scuff, clean, shoot, reapply per instructions so it flashes correctly.
Wurth SKS Stoneguard. We used alot in the bodyshop i worked in. It's an OEM product for alot of higher end vehicles. When it's applied correctly it's damn near indestructible. It dries hard, but has elasticity to it. I saw a couple trucks get hit in the bed sides after we put this stuff on and it stayed adhered to the damaged panel even when the factory applied paint was peeling off in strips. Give it a really rough base to bite onto, like 80 grit on a DA, and use a quality epoxy primer tie coat and you'll never have to worry about it.
