The "gooseneck hitch kit @ $250" was on my window sticker and included with my truck.
Had it not been, I would have purchased one of the aftermarket kits from etrailer.
Mine is a 2019 so things may have changed.
The "5th wheel hitch prep package" was $500
The prep kit also has the additional trailer plug in the bed. I think the prep kit is worth every penny once you figure aftermarket purchase and install. The hitch kit (ball and safety chain cleats) may be just as easy to source aftermarket unless they cost more than the factory kit.
I ordered a 24 with the 5th wheel prep. For a while, I was worried I might have to delete it to get it built because of constraints. I looked at aftermarket and it would cost twice as much minimum. Even looked at DIY but you have to remove the bed to install it and still cost over $500. Luckily, I got a build week and a VIN. Well worth the $500 factory Install.
B&W makes a gooseneck ball with a handle on it, kit comes with the mounting cleats for the safety chains. Weigh Safe makes a gooseneck ball kit with a built in scale that shows how much tongue weight a trailer has.
Ford sells a gooseneck ball and cleats on their website. Purchased mine with my points when I bought my '22. Even had a few bucks leftover for some stake pocket tie downs.
