With the large volume of posts on here, the "new posts" view is almost useless. There are lots of forums that I will never read, and plenty of popular posts that are of no interest to me. Is there a way to ignore these posts/forums in the "new posts" view?
if there are new posts, the little box on the left border will be black. no new posts, white.
you can also open FTE, and scroll all the way down. on the right side of the forum "blue bar" is two up arrows.
click on that and that forum will close down to just the blue bar.
keep doing that until you have "closed" all the forums you are not interested in. this should cut the page of full view forums in half. Quick Reply
There are plenty of "discussions" mostly by one certain person that are a total waste of space and time. Wish I could "ignore" a whole discussion instead of just the member.

Exactly! I have the same issue. threads that go on and on and on, when i have zero interest in seeing them.

This only works if you're on a desktop browser. The mobile version doesn't support any of this, and since I do almost all of my internet access on a mobile device (like most people these days) this won't help much. Heck, I don't even own a computer, just the one for work.

works perfectly fine that way on my android phone.
maybe it is something in your phone settings?
Please, make it possible to ignore whole threads. Too much garbage to wade through every day.
On some forums I've been on when you put a user on your ignore list, it makes them disappear completely, none of their posts show up at all. I don't know if this forums software is capable of that feature or it's admins capable of turning it on if so. It would be nice though.

I don't want to ignore users, I want to ignore threads or whole forums.
