Not certain but I believe S and S engine rebuild out of Spokane Washington sold their business to S and J engines. Purchased engine thru S and S many years ago which came with a 7 year warranty, which I believe is also offered thru S and J. S & S sold some 15 years ago and the engine I purchased is still running strong.
Not a recommendation since I have not done business with them, what impresses me is they offer a 7 year warranty, definitely one would need to check any manufacturer's disclaimer policy.
Not a fan of the limited warranty policy.
Appreciated. Looks like going with Mabbco or S&J Engines will be my best bet. Reached out to em today and waiting to hear back. Any suggestions on options or upgrades appreciated.
When I purchased the Crate engine thru S&S I advised the shop to narrow the bore, nothing over a specific number. They were very pleasant to work with, including my preference with regards to type of cam.
If member's in this forum have no further advice may wonder over to the 390 engine forum explaining in the process of ordering a crate engine and if members have any suggestions?
I sucked a piston on my 390 and fortunately familiar with an engine rebuild shop and had them go thru it, almost cost as much as a crate engine?
