I have an 84' F-250 that I'm restoring, Thank God I just figured out my last electrical GREMLIN!! iT IS 2wd and I plan to make it a 4x4. I have found a donor F-250 4x4 intact that I am going to use as the parts truck. My question is this, (I've never done anything this big before) My truck has the C6 3speed AT, and I know the doner has a standard 4x4. I need to verify what engine is in the truck, but assuming it is a 351 or larger what do I need to do to ensure that it's tranny and my 460 match up. Pulling my body, cab, electrical and tires/wheels is time consuming but not terribly hard, but I've never pulled an engine and matched it too another Tranny. Also, what is the easiest way to verify what gears I have in my rear end, I know it's a 10 Bolt, I think a splicer but I'm trying to verify it so I will have front and back matched up.
