2012 F250 6.2 XL stock radio is only showing time. Nothing else works. Fuse is good. Even swapped out another working radio and get nothing but the clock.
While fixing the radio on the truck I just bought. I noticed there were 3 fuses listed in my 2013 manual that could pertain to the radio.
19 amp subwoofer
29 sync gps radio faceplate
38 am/fm radio faceplate
38 was missing for me which upon installing made the radio come on with no illumination or control. I found out the faceplate connector and resistor in my faceplate needing fixing. To your issue I'd check the other fuses. If they are breaking it apart might be why the clock works only with multiple radios. I'm guessing your not getting power to the unit. Might want to check aftermarket radio company's that have pigtails too connect like in the old days when you had to make connections. Someone might have a Pinout of the radio connector so you can make sure you have power and ground where you need it at the back of the radio since you've proven it's not the radio
