Just went through this myself... Go ahead and order some replacement manifolds and a new bolt kit now.. the bevel seal for the uppies is likely corroded too. I tried reusing mine after I got the bolts out, but they just leaked .... Going back in next weekend to put on some osed OEM's from a rust free donor off of Ebay.. Theres lots of complaints about the non-oem's cracking...Good Luck!
It looks to me like one bolt's already 'cut' for you. As stated above. a good heating will permit removal. Fortunately, those are all nuts and bolts, nothing threaded into the manifold or anything so that job is fairly easy.
i hope so. few of them are all ready "cut" but they havent fell out . People smoking crack wanting $1500 for IH up pipes. Hopefully i just need to replace bolts.
Can I get the rotted bolts out with while manifolds are.still on or do i have to remove them from head? not alot of space to get a hammer in.

is it going to be pain in *** to get bolt out of exhaust manifold? its not threaded in but still looks like its going to be stuck from corrosion.

mountain man-you replaced the exhaust manifolds?
Doesn't look like there's much lip to grab surrounding the rusty nut, grinding may have to be employed, but if you get a tie rod puller in there somehow, you could put some serious pressure on the broken bolt that is stuck in the hole. Something similar to this is what I have in mind.

You should be able to tap on it and get it out of there. Some heat would help. After a few years you can forget about removing that hardware the normal way.
hello knotty. did you do it with ex-manifolds still on truck? i know.ill get em out with ex manifold.removed but i dont.wamt to go.through that if possible.

I did mine leaving the ex-manifolds attached to the engine. If you have that much rust on those bolts.....you're in for a surprise when you start taking off the ex-manifolds.

my manifolds were left on
my trans was out though, making much more room

This is a good example of anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Like snapping a bolt off of the threads that are still in the cylinder head.
