how many actuators are there?
Hello, recently had a issue with the HVAC system in my 2012 fx4. had the comressor and blower replaced. blowing cold and hot out passenger side, but only hot air out driver's side. mechanic said that it might be the blend door. after watching a bunch of videos replaced the actuator behind the radio console, no change. did I changed the wrong actuator? Thanks

If you have "dual zone", driver side and passenger side, you have 4.
one for each side temp,
One for fresh air/recircukate
one for mode, floor, dash, defrost, etc.
If you have single zone, only three.
one for each side temp,

Thanks. After more research, I changed the wrong actuator. looks like I'm going to have to tear out the whole dash. the actuator that you can accesss through the glove box behind the radio console. what does that control? Thanks again

Lower one I believe is the driver blend door (very hard to replace)
The one on the passenger side controls max a/c - fresh air
One on the drivers side controls floor/defrost.
