Hello, recently had a issue with the HVAC system in my 2012 fx4. had the comressor and blower replaced. blowing cold and hot out passenger side, but only hot air out driver's side. mechanic said that it might be the blend door. after watching a bunch of videos replaced the actuator behind the radio console, no change. did I changed the wrong actuator? Thanks
Thanks. After more research, I changed the wrong actuator. looks like I'm going to have to tear out the whole dash. the actuator that you can accesss through the glove box behind the radio console. what does that control? Thanks again

Upper blend door I believe for the passenger side air
Lower one I believe is the driver blend door (very hard to replace)
The one on the passenger side controls max a/c - fresh air
One on the drivers side controls floor/defrost.
does anyone know if all the actuators are the same? figure I would reuse the one I took out, since I replaced the wrong one. Thanks
There are 3 (blend door one I believe is for top and bottom)

maybe it's just me, but whether they're the same part number or not, I'd have a problem reinstalling an already 11 year old used part, that is known to fail, especially since it's so much of a pain to replace and given the fact that it isn't real costly to but a new one.
plus, with a new part, you'll know you have two new ones and maybe they'll both last another 11 years down the road.
