Reason for post ('81 F150 300 c.i.d I just sold was sold and easy to work on)
Bought 92 Ford Bronco, 302, E40D, Manual 4WD, MSD 6A Ignition, and 1 happy cherry bomb. (Having more tourble figuring things out) Just put on WARN premium Hubs to try and fix the problem.
1. 4WD light never comes on...previous owner says light was out (Still have not checked bulb)
2. 2H works great no problems..... all is well.
3. 4H \ 4L -- this is were things get screwed up. All is well until I try to make a turn (slow speed < 15 mph in parking lots...never got ballsy enough to try at faster speeds after feeling this problem) The steering wheel feels like it is "bumping" or trying to right itself to a forward position. Going forward is not a problem. Problem works while turning in both directions. Hung my head out the window, and had a buddy looking from the outside ... didnt see nothin'.
Been a member a long time of the forum....First time ever posting anything. Searched all the threads for an answer. No luck
This is why I make this post...anyone have any ideas or can point me to a thread I missed?
Sounds normal for a part time transfer case. You should not drive in 4x4 with the hubs locked on dry pavement as the drivetrain will bind due to the axles rotating at the same speed. There is no differential action in a part time case between the front and rear axles.

It's not really the transfer case even, it's the u-joints in the front axle shafts binding up most likely. Does it mainly do it near full lock? That's just how well 4x4 works on roads. I know that just with my hubs locked in I dare not go over 45, because the vibration gets horrible. 4x4 componets smply aren't set up to be used on pavement.
