Crankshaft Sensor Relearn
Question - 05 5.4 3v engine on F350 - does a new crankshaft sensor need to be reprogramed after installing it - and if so how can you do it without a scanner - thanks - Joe

I know newer engines do require a crankshaft profile relearn after specific repairs are made but I don't recall that being needed for engines of your vintage. Maybe someone else has a better memory...
Best suggestion at the moment is to just reset the PCM and then drive it keeping an eye out for any issues.
