Hey all, I've been looking for a replacement S hook spring for my 77 F250. All I find is the Help part # 38412 for the right (pass) side. Any thoughts on how/where to get a replacement? My original broke.
They are the same part. That one will work for either side. Get it and flip it over and tap in place. Same part for 73-79, some say to get it from Ford supply house you have to buy the complete hinge. I grab S springs from my local JY (and a bunch of other parts) to sale to FTE members all the time.
I get them from the passenger side because historically that door has a better chance of less use.

I'm not 100% sure, but think they are the same spring in the 73 to 78 full size and 72 to 79 intermediate series cars. Wouldn't be surprised to find them in a 75 to 90 E series van. Worth a look anyway.
