Purchased a used Milwaukee angle grinder on Ebay and it arrived damaged, so far seller is offering a refund. I bought the grinder as to supplement/back-up for my other Milwaukee angle grinder. Not a particular fan of Harbor freight but there are a few brands that have held up fairly well; i.e., Bauer, curious if other FE members have any experience with HF grinders?
Some may disagree, but I consider Harbor Freight power tools to, in general, be adequate for the occasional home DIY'er. I wouldn't buy one for even moderate regular garage or shop use. I have both Milwaukee and DeWalt angle grinders and have found them both to be reliable. I'm not a production shop that uses them every day but I use them frequently and sometimes I really USE them. Both have held up well.
I guess it depends on your intended use as to whether HF is good enough.

I thank you for the input, I do agree, so I am now deciding to go with a name brand not sure with another palm or try the finger trigger type unit. .
I am a power tool junky, despite the neglect and abuse my Milwaukee, Dewalt , Caftsman and Bosch are subjected to they are all still running fine..
Again I thank you for the comments and I do agree, I have purchased a a few HF power tools and a couple did not last as long as it would take to cook a 3 min. egg.
Using your Milwaukee part/model number perhaps visit Ereplacementparts that might allow you to repair the one you received? I have a few of the Milwaukee corded angle grinders and they're absolute beasts in that tool type https://www.ereplacementparts.com/
JWA; thank you for the input, yes as a non user friendly tool owner I have used e-replacement parts on numerous occasions, also used repair clinic as an alternate when e-replacement does not have the part I need,
With regards to the used ebay Milwaukee grinder the item was beyond repair, the pin that locks the mantle to replace disc was not only missing but the housing was broken. Purchased numerous items, especially power tools and this is the 1st time I was disappointed, although the seller has a no-hassle return policy so I may not ding him if i submit a customer review??>?
I have two harbor freight grinders.
Hercules brand. The 11 amp 4-1/2" is a very powerful little grinder. I can't kill it.
I also have the 7/9 combo 15 amp grinder. Big, powerful, durable. I've really pushed that one hard.
Hercules brand stuff has impressed me quite a bit.
Checked the HF Hercules and appears, as a card carrying member of the ' inside track' HF is offering the 13 amp Hercules, trigger grinder, with $50 off which brings it to $50? Interesting, been curious about the trigger vs palm? The HF indicates the item is currently out of stock at the closest HF store but offer is good until October so I have time to give it some thought?
Thank you for the information, greatly appreciated!
