P = Class 7--26,001 -33,000 lbs GVWR

R82 = LN 800 diesel (badged and referenced as LN8000 elsewhere)

A = 7.8 Ford six inline diesel engine. (Brazilian)

5 = Check digit, ignore.

J = model year 1988

V = Kentucky Truck Plant

A28644 = serial number

9E = Special White

204 = 204 inch wheelbase

R82280 = LN 800 diesel, 28,000 lbs GVWR

A8 = I do not have upholstery info, standard cab

CT = Eaton/Clark model FS -5106 six speed transmission.

2G = Rockwell model RS-20-145 single speed rear axle, 21,000 lbs capacity, 4.56 ratio
N = Ford 9,000 lb capacity front axle with power steering

87 (???) = Body company. Sometimes seen for rental trucks. IF it's 87.





You should have a while plastic certification label with axle, paint, transmission etc info on it. If you can post a picture of that it can be decoded as well.
