Fuel pump no power
1989 F150 302. When I turn key to on position, fuel pumps don't come on. They don't power during cranking either. Relay clicks.(replaced fp and eec relays recently Pumps are also new) I also tested the safety cut off switch. It is fine. I replaced all the previous due to a shutter going down the road mostly around 50 mph. Now she wont even start...... I need all the help I can get. I hate to put this one down as I have grown rather fond of her.

Do you have voltage to the hot side of the relay? It could be clicking in, but not have 12v waiting to go thru it to the pump.
I would check to see if there is a fuel pump fuse and also check all of the fusable links coning off of the starter solenoid.

Your call was right. There was power in. The relay was clicking but no power out to the pump. Bought 2 new relays (eec&fp) and she fired right up. I had replaced them both a few weeks ago with el cheapo's. Nothing but the best in her now.
