1948 F3 F68 long box rear bed crossmember is rusted out and I am looking for a replacement. Hoping for a new one but LMC does not have it. I know this is longer than the F1. Does anyone have a source for this?

if you cant find one you should be able to make one out of square tubing or angle iron if it dosent hold any suspension components
Yes, it can be made.
With a little fabrication skills a crossmember can be made out of rectangular tubing or structural channel.
Structural channel is typically stronger than mass produced frame channel, of the same web thickness. Structural channel has flanges that are thicker as they go towards the web. They just do not look as good with the square 90 degree corners.
If you decide to fabricate your own, make sure you tie it into the frame the same way the manufacturer did. For example, if they tied it into the web of the frame and both flanges, make sure you do the same.
