Don't know what to call it, but had all the windows down in the truck, a 23 F250, put them up, 3 out 4 goes up as they should. The drivers side window goes up to the top then back down 3/4 of the way. Figure the sensor isn't working? I've tried all kinds of things, nothing works. Ended up tapping the switch so the window is just shy of the top. Leaving tomorrow for camping too. Anyone have this happen?
You just need to reset the window safety mechanism.
Roll the window all the way down, hold the button for a few seconds after it is all the way down, then roll it up all the way, again holding the button for a few seconds after it is up.
That should reset the window.
Mine does this quite a bit. I have vent shades, so I park with my window cracked an inch down or so. Well, when I get in the truck, start it, and go to put the window up...it goes up 1/2 inch and then 3/4 of the way back down. Great in a thunderstorm or when there is snow and ice on my window...
I'll try the reset trick. Thanks
Actually, I might not even have my truck next week, so....

That's the reason why my truck doesn't have vent shades, could never get them to where they wouldn't cause the windows to bounce back, and I didn't want the ones that stick on the outside.
Turns out I have never missed having them anyway.

Mine are the stick-on kind...doesn't interfere with the windows. I bet you would notice a difference down in TX...I do here. I need to get some for my black car...
