Do they tend to drone at certain RPM's? I had a set on a 5.0 and at about 2200 RPM's drove me nuts. I now have a set of off the shelf glasspacks on it for that reason.
At 1700rpm (55mph in OD) they will resonate (drone?) enough to fill the cabin. It can be annoying on the slower roads. I replaced my air filter and it reduced it. I am waiting on an Airraid intake kit to see if it can "cure" the problem. I also feel that there may be a leaking weld.
