I use a Garmin Dash Cam 57. Easy to use, all voice commands, decent picture quality. I need to get my lazy rear-end in gear and hardwire it to some power.

I have the Thinkware brand Dashcam. The video quality is nice and it is user friendly.

I am a firm believer in their use. The attached video helped me get their insurance to cover the cost of damages. The driver of the car told the police and his insurance the accident was my fault.

I have the Blackvue DR970X 2 channel and a Blendmount mounting bracket. This is the 5th Blackvue I have purchased.

Not gonna lie. I bought Chinese. The memory card costed more than the cam. I don't drive in a lot of traffic, but, occasionally have an idiot of 2 that I run across.....Have not had to download anything to prove a point yet, but, at least I can if needed....

One of the things I like about the Blackvue is that it will tell you “an impact was detected in parking mode” if the truck was bumped or the tailgate was slammed😁. It can be a good reminder to get out and take walk around the truck to double check.

I had my truck less than a month when it got “punched in the nose” in the parking lot folding over the front license plate.😡

Easy peasy because no wiring was required and the video looks good enough for me. Pretty sure you do need an "auto-dimming" rearview mirror for the Donger adaptor to work. No problems so far except the suction cup gave up once or twice in the heat.

Good luck!
I'm running the same exact setup, but caught the camera on sale for under $100 on Amazon. No issues so far.

Don't kick yourself. They are ALL chinese. In fact, there are only a couple different cameras...the main differences is all in the plastic case they are mounted in.

Check out the 10:30 mark for an explanation.

I returned mine. I found that it shook a bit on the mirror and when it was off to be used as a regular mirror it was washed out looking in some areas. Maybe I got a bad one. Gonna probably try a BlackVue next.

How did you route the wires from the front cam?

I ran the wires up/down the passenger side pillar, behind front door weather moulding, down the passenger side door sill, up the rear pillar, and I tucked the wire up under the rear edge of the headliner.

My power source was in the passenger side foot well as I am using upfitter switch #6 to control the power to the dash camera.

The Rove also has that feature. So far, thankfully, it's only gone off from something I've done like slam the tailgate. You're right though, it is a good reminder!

The Wolfbox has that if you hard wire it. I had it for nearly a year and just got around to hardwiring it. The mini fuses held me back trying to find the add a fuse for them.

What fuses did everyone tap into for ignition and constant?
