Clear vinyl coating
That clear vinyl layer on the first 1 ft of hood, started lifting over the past month (record heat) and now, there is dirt and water accumulating in that pocket.
Thinking it was just a "vinyl wrap" I took the heat gun to it, in an effort to remove/replace it...but in doing so, it leaves a huge amount of adhesive behind...is there an easier way to get this crap off?

Mineral spirits seamed to work safely but took a little longer. 3M makes an adhesive remover, I used it but noticed it would start to melt that hard plastic, like model car material. You might ask a place that does vinyl wrapping.
