why do they not offer the 8' bed on the fx4's and and other 4by?

The highest trim level for an 8 foot bed, is XLT.

Pretty annoying, isn't it?

By the way, the SuperDuty has no such restriction.

I don't get it either. I don't like the way they have the different models divided up. I would prefer a truck that you could add options too. As admitted in the brochure its like 5 different trucks.
