That was not easy to read so…
the easiest way would be to swap out the whole rear end assembly yes the speed sensor will go in the 88 but there is no need to since it is the same rear axle if you only replace the carrier and reuse your ring gear you will have to measure the backlash before and after to make sure it is the same measurement because there can be a difference between the open and limited slip carriers

cool thanks after I went out in my junkyard and looked it is an 89 lariat with h9 rear axle and it does look like that sensor is the same as mine so I shood just be able to swap the whole unit which is rather do..... Thanks for the reply....
If you are able to swap a rear axle, you can install fresh clutches in an LSD carrier I would think.
FMS or whatever they go by now, has carbon fiber clutches for the 8.8" Traclok. Yukon sells them. Piles of places. No way I would pop it in with 30+ year old clutches. Also when the cover is off, at least pull the axles and do outer wheel seals.
I would recommend marking compound and check ring gear to pinion lash. Pretty easy.
Ok yes I had planned to change the bearings and seals one more thing the carrier bearing and seal do I have to pull the insides out to change it or from outside.i can do most stuff with a little instruction I've always messed with mustang gts and 70s trucks this is just my first newer f150 I've built so better to ask and get it right....THANKS EVERYONE..WISH I'D FOUND THIS FORUM LONG TIME AGO...
Maybe consider just a carrier swap if your axle is quiet.
Yea never fooled with rear ends much of we tore one out just jerked one out of another car and changed it out.im just tryin to learn and I want the knowledge before I just go tearing into it and swapping stuff around not knowing of its ok or not Kits a pretty good truck so I wanna keep it dependable.
Alright, I am going to say it....Please find an online course, or something of the sort, so you can learn about a wonderful thing that has recently happened to the English language called PUNCTUATION! If you are going to use the written word in a public forum, and you want others in the public forum to comprehend and reply to your query, PLEASE, for the love of grammar, use punctuation!

Yep. People are here to help each other. The fact that you are refusing to make your posts readable is rude. I got a maybe a quarter of the way in on your transmission thread and gave up. I’m not going to try to decipher what you are saying.
