Spindal change?

I have access to a 74 f250 6900GVW
Can I change the spindals with the ones on my 78 F150
Are they a direct swap?Just the spindals/rotors Prop valve
Mainly the concern is the spindals??How hard are they to change?
Dustin
I took messurements and it appears I can have a true 8 lug truck
They look like they will work?Anyone know for sure???

I could be mistaken, but in my searches for a new spindle for my truck I discovered that the regular D44 spindles are different than the HD D44 (which you are looking at). From what I gather the HD D44 and the D60 use bigger wheel bearings and share the same spindle.

I could be off base here but I'm sure someone will post who knows first hand. I almost hope I AM wrong. That would make my search much easier.

To get your spindle off you need to remove the caliper, hub, and rotor. Remove the 5 nuts holding the spindle on through the knuckle. Most likely the spindle will need "persuasion" to come off. What works best for me is to hammer a cold chisel between the spindle and knuckle to pry it off. Work around the spindle working it off evenly. Also be careful not to gouge the spindle, backing plate, or knuckle while doing this.

you can use the spindles off the 250 on your 150, you need to change the outer axel also with the hub and rotor
