2006 Expedition King Ranch
I had an issue with one of the rear doors that was locked and wouldn't open from the outside or inside. I built a tool to get between the door and the sill so I could push the childproof lock lever up and that allowed me to open it from the inside. Turned out a little plastic gizmo that held the locking arm to the outside door handle lever was broken so $16 at the local dealership and it was fixed.
The next 2 questions I've still not figured out. The side view mirrors are supposed to fold in but they don't. According to the fuse box diagram I found fuse 109 is supposed to deal with the folding mirrors, the driver's seat power and the adjustable pedals. Both the driver's seat and the pedals work so it's not the fuse. Before I took everything apart I was wondering if anyone might give me some guidance as to what it might be. I was thinking the wiring in the switch that controls the mirrors. They both can be moved in all directions but you're supposed to push the control **** down and it's supposed to fold the mirrors in. It doesn't.
Lastly the audio system lights don't work so I can't tell what mode it's in or what station it's tuned to. I've been thinking about switching over to a more updated system with a back up camera and GPS Navigation. Anyone have any recommendations? Also, how much of a pain is it to wire in the GPS antennae and the back up camera wiring?
Thanks for any help,
Joe
