I need new fuel lines in my 2wd crew cab. My truck is supposed to have dual tanks. Ive only ever had the front installed but I’m picking a rear up soon.
Im guessing what’s supposed to happen is I would have a main line coming from the fuel tank selector valve toward the fuel pump up front, and the tanks would be connected to the fuel tank valve with rubber hoses.
Maybe the rear tank has a metal line going to the valve? I have an old junk valve mounted on my frame right near the front tank. I don’t think a metal line is even needed for that short of a distance, front tank to valve.
So that’s just the main selector valve to pump line and the return line. Both are plugged and rusty on my truck. I’d like to by a prebent setup but can’t find one that would work. Most everything specifies short/long bed rear tank to pump. But I know those won’t work because of it being a crew cab.
Does anyone know of a dual tanks crew cab set of prebent fuel lines?
I did not see any prebent fuel lines kits for crew cabs back when I started to restore mine so I built my own to put together what I wanted for a dual tank, dual return setup. I used aluminum for the rear hard line and mounted it up to the frame with hose retainers, keeping the rubber used as minimal as possible. I'm only running on one tank right now, which is a 32 gallon aft axle aerotank. I also have an in-cab 18 gallon tank that I should get around to converting to be fuel injection friendly.
