I’m looking for 2nd and 3rd row seats for my 1999 E150 conversion van. What years are compatible?
Also do you know where I should be looking for them? I’m not finding anything on the internet.
A conversion van might not have floor attachments for factory bench brackets since many start as cargo vans. Do you see threaded holes under the carpet?
Anything from ‘92 through when the series ended will work with the same mounting points but quick release brackets might be different. Later benches have built in shoulder belts which could simplify your project.
These vans haven’t been available for some years so good seats are harder to find. Check mobility van shops and local listings. Sometimes you see them on eBay. Oh, 4x4 conversion and van life forums.
An option is benches from a Sprinter or Transit. Sometimes you can get a deal and they’re snazzier than plain benches.
Another option is commuter van seats but the mounting points are a lot of work. This is our van which uses standard passenger van outboard shoulder belts.
Visit a self serve junkyard and look at the mounting brackets on several vans. You will see they are the same for vans around your model year (maybe even up to 2010+). As noted previously, most of the used bench seats are in rough shape. Look for the newest one that has the same mounting as your '99 maybe get a newer one along with the matching brackets.
